Coaching with Catapult
Feeling stuck? I get it. And, unfortunately our friends, family, and mentors can’t always provide the support we need. We need someone who is dedicated to helping us understand why we are stuck, challenge our narratives, and open new possibilities.
I understand the vulnerability it takes to share your experiences, fears, and desires. I will create a safe space for you to explore your most vulnerable truths. I will empower you to free yourself from fear, mediocrity, and dissatisfaction so you can step into your greatness. (And yes, sometimes mediocrity looks like executive management).
I don’t just help my clients with problems in their life, I help them to transform their understanding of what’s possible. You are highly capable and playing small because of your own fear or to appease others doesn’t serve you.
I know it can feel scary to take risks. Not sure how life can be different? Let's exhale and figure it out.
Are you a woman of color who needs intensive support to shift now? This master class is for you.
Meet Your Executive Life Coach - Patrice Ford Lyn C.P.C
Professional Background: I have guided the start up of three national-level organizations and worked with corporate, government and nonprofit leaders to build their organizations while supporting them through their own personal growth. I have worked in strategic planning and organizational development for more than 20 years and personal transformation and wellness for more than eight years. I have an undergraduate degree in sociology from Yale University and a graduate degree in non-profit management from Harvard’s Kennedy School. I have planned, and facilitated numerous personal transformation sessions and group coaching series and workshops. This background coupled with my training as a certified coach, reiki healer, and skilled facilitator means that I know how to support you powerfully - personally and professionally. I literally meet you where you are, my clients reside in numerous cities and countries, and create a safe space for you to explore your truth and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Personal Background: I have taken many risks and felt the tremendous emotions that accompanied them. I have a depth of experience, passion for helping people thrive and commitment to guiding transformational outcomes. I have packed up and moved to a different country more than once. I left a "secure" job to do the work I love more than once. I even left a bad situation and bought an open ticket to Brazil having no idea how long I would be there or what would happen next.
And, I have also felt the paralysis of fear that kept me stuck for years. There is no shame in fear. It is okay to be scared, but it is important to be courageous.
It’s okay if you can’t see all the possibilities now. I hold space for your greatness even when you don’t. I show up and coach you fiercely - like your life depends on it, because it does. Whether you are feeling stuck in your personal or professional life, I can help you to thrive. Why run when you can fly? It’s time.
Aisha Shelton Adam, Esq. Partner,
“Patrice’s impact on my life will never be summed up in a few paragraphs. I hoped to find someone to help me get my business on track. Instead, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery that helped me identify long-held beliefs about my limitations, why I developed them, and how I made the very best choices under some of the worst circumstances.
Patrice transformed me. Her approach was not predetermined from a template. Over 12 weeks, she served as my counselor, therapist, girlfriend, business advisor, sister - asking the right questions and delivering what I needed to hear to support or challenge me. I came to Patrice wondering if it were possible to walk confidently in the direction of my dreams. I now believe I can fly.”
Trudy Wilson, Vice President Financial Services, Interior Designer
“I found Patrice at a time in my life when, on paper, everything was looking great. I was making the money I wanted, had the title I had earned and was poised to excel even further in my career but every day my soul felt like it was dying a little more. Soul sucking is how I described it in our exploratory call. Patrice was patient, prodding, calm, soothing but thought provoking... she told me she would hold the space for me to explore and feel safe. I didn’t know what that meant exactly but I knew it was EXACTLY what I needed.
Three months later, what started out as being about my career vs following my passion, evolved into so much more. She tells you upfront that the answers are inside of us already, she just helps to bring it out and she does....masterfully. It was by no means an easy journey and I have a ways to go but I will always be grateful to Patrice for guiding me, pushing me to do the work even when I didn’t want to, waiting patiently with me while I was with my thoughts exploring, pondering and diving deep into my inner child - for holding that space for me to be beautifully ME.
This is one investment where the returns will be phenomenal all because she reminded me of who I am, whose I am and that everything I need for success in this life is already within me.”
Orlando Bishop, Life Coach, Business Owner, Director, & Film Maker
Just had someone define Paraclete for me as someone who is going to advise you and walk with you along the way. Allow me to call out my own Paraclete, Patrice Ford, my coach. I am better in every role I play in life thanks to her support, her insight, her questioning, and her willingness to challenge me. She combines intelligence and compassion in an approach that has helped me immeasurably over the last few months.
As a coach, I TRULY believe in what I do. But I also believe in game recognizing game. And Patrice's coaching game is next level. Seriously, you can imagine how much I think of her and the work she does if I am providing a testimonial for someone in MY line of business.”
Jean Oswald, Registered Nurse, Certified Aromatherapist
Patrice is an excellent coach! I worked with her for a few months and really appreciated the way she asked questions and listened deeply – always steering me toward my own truth and my own answers. The questions were thought provoking, even stopping-me-in-my-tracks.
I remember one especially raw session when I was feeling disappointed in my own performance at work. She challenged me. A door opened for me that day and the stress stayed behind. I’ve struggled with articulating what’s on my mind and I thank Patrice for helping me to find the words I needed.
Patrice was not only a great coach for me, but she remains a true role model because she Lives Honestly, Walks with Courage and shows Willingness to be Vulnerable every day. Patrice helped me walk bravely and that’s what I want for my life.
Life Coach, Senior Procurement Manager
“I don’t know how people move intentionally from one level to the next without coaching. Patrice called out my faulty beliefs about myself and my ability and challenged me to discover what I really wanted.
With Patrice’s guidance and partnership, I have been able to name my fears and doubts and take bold steps in the direction of my deepest desires.”
My clients come from all walks of life. Many are executive women of color who work in corporations, nonprofits, multilateral organizations or as business owners and entrepreneurs.
They are high-achievers who want to enjoy life and do work that matters. Yet, in one area or another, they feel a disconnect between the lives they have and the lives they want. Something is telling them there is more, there has to be more. It can be different. It must be different.
They are right. You can live your deepest truth.
You don’t have to be in distress to have a coach. Do you want to move from good to great? It’s okay for good to not be good enough. It’s okay to want your life to be great. Why not have a great life?
As a bisexual, black, immigrant woman, I bring a deep appreciation of the ongoing pressures faced by marginalized groups and the ways these truths can manifest in our lives. And it is important to me that members of marginalized communities, those working with marginalized communities and/or in trauma rich environments have safe spaces for reflection and rejuvenation.
To be clear, the disability community; immigrants, people of color and various nationalities; LGBTQIA and gender non-conforming individuals: members of religious minorities; and members of polyamorous and non-monogamous communities have a safe space with me.
