MY BELIEFS

EVERY PERSON IS CONNECTED TO THEIR TRUTH, EVEN IF THEY DON'T KNOW IT YET

EVERY PERSON IS WHOLE EVEN IF THEY FEEL BROKEN

EVERY PERSON HAS MORE POSSIBILITIES THAN INITIALLY IMAGINABLE

EVERY PERSON IS RESOURCEFUL

I know it can feel scary to take risks.  I have taken many risks and felt the tremendous emotions that accompanied them.  I have packed up and moved to a different country more than once. I left a "secure" job to do the work I love more than once.  I even left a bad situation and bought an open ticket to Brazil having no idea how long I would be there or what would happen next.  And, I have also felt the paralysis of fear that kept me stuck for years.  There is no shame in fear.  It is okay to be scared, but it is important to be courageous.

I have been on both sides of the coach - client relationship.  I understand the vulnerability it takes to share your experiences, fears, and desires.  I will create a safe space for you to explore your truth as you figure out how to move forward in a way that feels right for you.  I will meet you were you are and help you figure out your next steps. I will see your greatness even if you can't.  I will coach you fiercely - like your life depends on it, because it does.  Sometimes we need an intense immersive experience for restoration, rejuvenation, and clarity.  I know I have.  As a member of numerous wellness communities. I have planned, facilitated and participated in numerous personal transformation retreats and group coaching series. I am a certified professional coach, reiki practitioner, and skilled facilitator/trainer. I have worked with wellness communities including Coaching for Transformation, the Respectful Confrontation community,  the Inner Journey community, the Washington DC Insight Meditation community and the Unity of Washington DC spiritual community.

Special note: I have a deep appreciation of the ongoing pressures faced by marginalized groups and the ways these truths can manifest in their lives.  It is vital that members of marginalized communities, those working with marginalized communities and/or in trauma rich environments have safe spaces for reflection and rejuvenation. I want to make it absolutely clear that the disability community; immigrants, people of color and various nationalities; LGBTQIA and gender non-conforming individuals: members of religious minorities; and members of polyamorous and non-monogamous communities have a safe space with me.

Who I work with:  My clients come from all walks of life.  What unites them is that they each feel a disconnect between the lives they have and the lives they want. Something is telling them there is more, there has to be more.  They are right.  Even folks who feel life is good can have these disconnects. It is okay to want your life to be great.  Why not have a great life?

“I don’t know how people move intentionally from one level to the next without coaching. Patrice called out my faulty beliefs about myself and my ability and challenged me to discover what I really wanted. With Patrice’s guidance and partnership I have been able to name my fears and doubts and take bold steps in the direction of my deepest desires.”
